Angel Sobrino
Angel Sobrino is founder and Executive Director of Miles4theMinds and Director of Learning at The Hive Interactives, where he designs and scales youth-powered, adventure-based science and home education programs that center equity, curiosity, and hands-on learning. He holds an MS in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University and a BA in Psychobiology and Global Health from Florida International University, and he combines strategic partnership development, grant writing, and program design to expand access to experiential STEM and learner-led pathways. At Miles4theMinds he grew a pilot into a regional nonprofit serving hundreds of youth and families with place-based programs that blend science, storytelling, and civic engagement, and at The Hive he leads a grant-winning home education model that teaches five future skills through stealth learning, provides personalized online instruction, and mentors education entrepreneurs to turn learner interests into sustainable microbusinesses. His eco-adventure work, including reef snorkeling, catamaran sailing, and sunset painting in Key West, has introduced many learners to the ocean for the first time, converts first encounters into long-term curiosity and stewardship, and next year he will launch the Dockside Port Party series to scale those experiences. A certified scuba diver, world traveler, and philanthropist, he leads with founder-forward clarity, pragmatic vision, and a commitment to replicable, sustainable learning models that center youth voice, place-based stewardship, and measurable impact.
