FEE Entrepreneur-In-Residence Program
Entrepreneurs-In-Residence at the Education Entrepreneurship Lab play a pivotal role in promoting education entrepreneurship and innovation. These thought leaders are practitioners who are currently running their own innovative schools or related learning models.
They publish regular articles here at the Lab, engage with founders and families, and share their voices in the movement toward more decentralized, individualized, market-driven education options.

Kym Kent
Kym Kent is an Entrepreneur-In-Residence at FEE. She is a veteran homeschool mom, self-proclaimed Homeschool Mythbuster, and the co-founder and director of eXtend Homeschool Tutorial in the suburbs of Washington, DC. A graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in Economics, her real education began in 2004 with the start of her family’s homeschooling journey. So far, Kym has graduated four of her six homeschooled children into college with scholarships, and serves as a teacher, mentor, speaker, and coach in the homeschool community.
Jennie Jones

Jennie Jones is an Entrepreneur-In-Residence at FEE. She is former professional ballerina, turned homeschooling mom of four, turned education entrepreneur. After taking a break from dance education, she started homeschooling her own children. Over the last seven years of homeschooling, Jennie started leaning more and more into unschooling and interest-led, child-driven learning. An educator at heart, she always dreamed of opening a microschool. In September 2024, that dream became a reality when she launched The Treehouse Agile Learning Community in St. George, Utah. A home-based microschool that uses agile learning tools to foster intentional community, natural learning, and independence, The Treehouse currently serves homeschooled students ages 5-12.
